Tuesday Treats #9

This weeks Tuesday Treats post is a knitwear special seen as it's now autumn (although it's really warm and sunny at the moment!) I love snuggling up with a big jumper or a cosy cardi when it's cold. These posts are now in a new video format as they appear on my Bits and Bobs YouTube channel too so I hope you like it like this!

EDIT: These videos have been deleted as I was no longer happy with the format and with having them on my YouTube channel. Please click here to see more recent Tuesday Treats posts.

Video: There's No Place Like Home - Room Tour

So here's my first proper video blog. You can catch up with a few little video's I've already done on my YouTube channel. Sorry about how quiet the video is, I'm not sure why that's happened so turn your volume up! I've also tried to 'posh it up' a little with my accent as I'm sure if I spoke with my normal South Yorkshire accent some people wouldn't understand me!

Happy List #25

Saturday 17th September
  1. My mum and stepdad picked up their new car and it's much nicer than their other so I'm more comfortable in it!
  2. Mum's friend came down with one of her kids, Danny who's 5, as soon as he walked in he went 'oh she's here again' so when his mum asked him who he went 'my girlfriend' meaning me, he's so cute! Josh had competition because he gave me lots of kisses and 50p!
Sunday 18th September
  1. I expected today to be boring as I was on my own but it was fairly relaxing reading, watching tv and making poached eggs on toast
  2. Lovely sunday dinner
  3. Seeing my gran for the last time before I go back to Coventry
Monday 19th September
  1. Woke up feeling really refreshed and happy which is unusual but I was quite a good mood
  2. Met my best friend and went to Pizza Hut then back to hers for a good catch up, wish I had chance to see her more often

My little man Ziggy

Wednesday 21st September
  1. Watching Shameless and America's Next Top Model in the morning
  2. Went to see my other gran for last time before going back to Coventry
Thursday 22nd September
  1. Dancing with Ziggy, Josh filmed it and I didn't realise, which led to my first ever video blog post
  2. Going for an Indian with Josh parents and grandparents. It was nice but everything was really spicy
  3. Staying at Josh's
Me and Josh before the meal

Friday 23rd September
  1. Josh created a YouTube channel for Bits and Bobs so you can expect to see some vlogs soon!
  2. Going into town with Josh, we got lots of little christmas Yankee candles (a little early but we can't get them in Coventry) and an advent candle
  3. Ziggy following us down the street like he knew he wouldn't see me again until christmas!
  4. Staying at mums
In other news as Ziggy has been mentioned quite a lot in the recent Happy List posts I've decided to do a post dedicated to him (because everyone loves cute cats right?!) soon, so keep your eyes open for that. Also I'm moving back to Coventry tomorrow after 10 weeks back in Yorkshire so it feels a little odd at the moment, I'm really going to miss my mum and stepdad (my mum reads this so I thought I'd do her a little message!) but I'm really looking forwards to them visiting. Love you mum and Tony x
So I'll be doing a sort of summer summary post in the next few days

Bambi Listens To The Beatles Whilst Showering In Honey

Well this is actually a 'recent buys' post but I thought the title was much better than just putting recent buys and I promise it does fit in with the post! Whilst in York last week I bought a few things so I thought I'd share with you what I got.

Sticky notes from Paperchase for in my Filofax

Pink earrings. Both pairs were from an independant store in York called Avatar. I love this shop so much as it has some lovely unique pieces of jewellery. The top earrings I bought myself as a have my left ear pierced twice and wanted them for the 2nd piercing and other pair were a present from Josh. It's become a bit of a tradition that when we go to York (which is every year!) he buys me something from this shop so I do have quite a collection now! Thanks Josh.

Both of these tops are from H&M and I've had my eye on them for weeks now. Infact the Bambi one featured on this Tuesday Treats post.

I was in desperate need of some new boots as the ones I have are in a very shabby state (think split, holey and a bit tatty looking) which is my fault for not buying quality shoes however I've clearly not learnt my lesson because these were only £20 from New Look but I liked them!

Lush It's Raining Men shower gel. Now I'm a big fan of Lush products but not of their prices and this is a fine example of that. This is the smallest bottle available and it cost me £4.25 which I think is very dear for a small shower gel. However I adore the smell of it as it has the same scent as Honey I Washed The Kids which just happens to be my favourite Lush soap. Normally I wouldn't have paid so much for shower gel but I had some birthday money left so I though why not?!

I was hoping to get some nice basic knitwear pieces however I really failed on that front because there was nothing nice in my size or price range. Hopefully I'll beable to find some things in the next few weeks.

Wednesday 14th September

Josh and I went to York for the day and it was really good. We went shopping which Josh said he actually enjoyed so I was happy about that. We went to Costa Coffee for a drink, then did a bit more shopping. I got quite a few things (a post with what I bought coming in the next few days). We weren't too impressed with dinner. We went to a pub we've been to before but now the menu has changed and the food was quite fancy, the problem was it didn't even taste that nice. After we went for some drinks and ended up chatting for ages. Coming home was a nightmare as our train was cancelled and it wasn't annouced so it ended up taking us 3 hours to get back. In all though we had a lovely day. I did a blog post with lots of pictures from York here.

Friday 16th September

Here Comes The Sun

Josh and I decided to make the most of the lovely sunny weather yesterday and go for a walk. We went down by an old, unused railway and through some fields. It was a lovely day and so warm. So here's some photo's.

Happy List #23

Saturday 3rd September
  1. I expected today to be quite rubbish as I was coming back of holiday but I ended up going to mums when I was back so it was ok, much better than been in on my own
  2. Night in to myself. I didn't mind been home alone then as I watched X Factor and drank a Baileys coffee so it was a pretty good night in!
Sunday 4th September
  1. Today has been so bad that I don't think there's anything happy to write (sorry). I've just had my pj's on all day and done nothing but blog and mess around with holiday photo's. I wish I was still on holiday where my days were filled with fun things to do
Monday 5th September
  1. Going to Josh's for the day, I really enjoyed it but it went so fast
  2. Watching Mirrors 2, Josh didn't like it but I thought it was ok
  3. Watching a programme about Ladyboys. Was funny but actually some of them were really pretty!
Tuesday 6th September
  1. Having Josh's cat Ziggy lay with me like a baby, he's so cute bless him (I don't have any photo's of him laid with me but I do have other cute pics so I'll include one of those of him when he was a kittten)
  2. Lovely carbonara for tea
  3. Staying at Josh's. I was really looking forwards to staying and I had lots of fun. Just like when we first started staying together. Now we live together when we're at uni we get too used to each other but it was really nice staying at his this time!
Ziggy when he was small and cute

Wednesday 7th September
  1. Lazy day at Josh's
  2. Ordering some prints of our photo's from the past year. It sounds silly but I like that me and Josh have a few photo albums together because (at the risk of sounding mental) I think 'oh it'll be nice to look through all these photo's in like 10 years time!'
Thursday 8th September
  1. Going to Shelley garden centre with Josh, his dad and his grandparents for afternoon tea lol. I had a Malteser torte and it was gorgeous but really sickly
  2. Went back to Josh's grandparents after. Their house is so nice
  3. The view from the huge windows in the cafe, it was so lovely and green. Won't get views like that when I'm back in Coventry. It was a proper Yorkshire view as Josh said!
  4. Josh's gran couldn't work out what something was that they'd got as an anniversary present months back. Whislt she was messing with it she just turned to Josh's grandad and went 'we got this as a gift...we should ask what it's for.' For some reason this really tickled me and Josh
My Malteser torte in all its glory (sorry for the rubbish phone pic!)

Friday 9th September
  1. Going for a drink and a chat with Josh in a cafe. I had a really nice hot chocolate
  2. Nice little texts from Josh
  3. Staying at mums
My lovely hot chocolate (again it's a phone pic)

I Heart...#1

So this is the new feature that's replaced the Dreamy Designs one. I thought instead of just covering one genre (interior design) I would branch out and show you some of my favourite images that I come across on weheartit.com and things that I really like, so of course there will still be some design images but a whole load of other stuff too. Enjoy!

My favourites this weekhave to be 1 and 3 because I love the 60's and a fairytale ending is perfect!
What are your favourites from this weeks post?
